David Newey is the founder of Recast Marketing. His ability to manage the strategic and creative process, develop solutions, and produce  results for Recast clients is the driving force behind the company’s success and growth.

Prior to founding Recast, Newey served in various marketing and business development positions for companies such as Valspar, Sony Pictures, Krispy  Kreme, and Empyrean International where he successfully drove marketing, communications, public relations, and brand building efforts for these well-known, national brands. In addition, Newey is also an avid filmmaker, producer, editor, photographer, and musician with production experience ranging from large-scale national television commercials to producing corporate, web, and event video.

Newey holds an MBA from Wake Forest University’s Babcock Graduate School of Management.  He concentrated in Marketing and was the recipient of Babcock’s Andrea Mitchell Metzler Scholarship Award for Marketing Excellence.  Newey also holds a BA from the University of Vermont where he studied Liberal Arts and Filmmaking.
In addition to his career accomplishments, Newey is an experienced traveler having traveled to far off places to shoot photography and video such as Africa, Australia, China, Mongolia, Russia, Europe, Argentina, Mexico, and Central America.
